Course description

In this course, participants will learn how to use the most common FortiGate features, providing a solid understanding of how to implement the most common FortiGate features.

In interactive labs, participants will explore firewall policies, user authentication, high availability, SSL VPN, site-to-site IPsec VPN, Fortinet Security Fabric, and how to protect networks using security profiles, such as IPS, antivirus, web filtering, application control, and more.

Networking and security professionals involved in the management, configuration, administration, and monitoring of FortiGate devices used to secure their organisations’ networks.

Prerequisites

We recommend participants have at lease fundamental knowledge of the following items prior to enrolling in the NSE 4 course:

Knowledge of network protocols
Basic understanding of firewall concepts
Knowledge of OSI layers
Understanding of firewall concepts in an IPv4 network

Course Fee inclusions

Tuition: Comprehensive instruction and learning materials.

Confirmation of Booking

Confirmation of bookings: Once the registration process is complete, you will receive confirmation via email.
Booking Priority: Course spaces are allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
Payment Requirements: To secure your booking, payment must be received within 3 days of the registration date. Failure to make payment may result in unconfirmed bookings.
Purchase Orders (Wavelink partners only): If you submit a Purchase Order, we will send an invoice. Payment is strictly required 7 days from the date of the invoice.

Course Cancellations and Transfers

Course transfers can be made at least 14 days before the enrolled class.
Non-attendees will be liable for the full course fee.
Transfers less than one week before class start times will be handled on a case-by-case basis, subject to Wavelink’s discretion.
Change of mind: Services provided by Wavelink are non-refundable if you change your mind after payment has been made to Wavelink.
Course Amendments by Authorized Training Centre (ATC):
- Course Amendment: ATC reserves the right to amend a course, Wavelink will take all reasonable steps to inform you prior to your course of any changes.
- Course Cancellation: Wavelink will offer an alternative, mutually convenient course date.
- Refunds: If Fortinet are unable to provide the course material, learners will receiver a full refund or be offered an alternative course date. Refunds will be processed within one month of the notification date.
Participant Minimums: Some training courses require a minimum number of participants for conduct. If minimums are not met, Wavelink reserves the right to cancel the class and either offer an alternative course date or offer a full refund. Wavelink will take all reasonable steps to inform you at least 7 days prior to the course date of course cancellations.

Illness and Sickness

Course Transfers: Medical certificate to be provided to us within 24 hours from the course date to allow a transfer. No refunds will be available. No more than 2 transfers due to illness will be accepted.

Access to Training Records

Training Records: All registrants are entitled to access to their records, upon written request to the Training Manager at Access Training Centre via email.
